Makita Router Chord length

Hi all,
Just started assembling my Elite foreman i have a question on cable length for makita router. Still going through the installation but after inserting chord for router within the drag chain on x rail there is not enough left and apparently i havent found an answer to it yet. Did any of you had to use extension cord or is there any other option?

I bought myself a longer extension cord, cut off the socket end and used that to replace the entire power cord that comes with the router. You’ll need to disassemble the top of the router but it wasn’t all that difficult.

Just switched to spindle. Don’t need this corded one since I have a battery one too. Purchased on Amazon beginning of the year. Used for a total of about 3-4hrs. No heavy usage. I am using an extension cord and have not noticed any negative effects.
