Makita Router not reaching spoilboard On Elite Journeyman

I just finished assembling my new (first) CNC.
The Makita Router (in the lowest setting on the Z slider) is not reaching the 3/4" Spoil board when fully lowered and the flattening bit inserted to the mark (Amana 45525).
I assume it may be due to the riser… Any thoughts?

OK, may have solved my own problem with this:

I think you’ve likely mounted your z slider too high. Check these bolts, in the photo I’ve mounted as high as possible, but am using a spindle. Your router is shorter. See if you have room to mount it lower.

Hey Tim,

this is a frequently asked question. Search for wasteboard thickness

For an explanation of the problem, see also → here.

By the way, the Onefinity manufacturer says:

Hey Tim,

but be aware that when using such extensions, the accuracy of the cut will suffer. Always take the shortest bit possible for the application.
