I totally agree, as long as I have a way to transfer gcode without use sneaker net I will be ok.

Does that mean everybody buying a onefinity will need a Masso subscription to use their machines?
As a current Masso user, does that mean I cant get updates, or have bugs fixed, unless I opt into the subscription?
I’m unpacking my M3 now, wondering if I should not connect it to the internet… or grab the last update asap and risk the latest version forcing internet connectivity

whoa! all of a sudden it is going to cost 19 bucks a month to use the masso? screw that. I did not sign up for that KAKA. I don’t even have my machine yet. Get them hooked and reel them in seems to be the order of the day. I am angry. Yes I am. no future upgrades unless you pay every damned month In one yearly payment. onfinity what have you allowed to happen. I did not realize we were only leasing the controller. shades of John Deer. you can still use it unless and untill you have a question or need something then bang. 228 bucks or, you can decide to not use your machine anymore? NFW. How many of us would have ordered this if we knew that beforehand? not me that is for damned sure.

I would like to return my Masso back to 1F This is not going to be good for Masso. If you want to grow your sales you come out with new features like maybe once a quarter 
Not like once every two years. THIS will kill Masso big time..

I agree yes It Will. out of the blue surprise you don’t really own it you are actually leasing it. I am thinking of changing my order back to the buildbotics controller. this is proverbial oh I probably can’t say what it actually is but I am sure everyone knows. Masso caught the john deer mentality. stick it to 'em they don’t have a choice once they have the controller.
It sure looks that way to me.

How about you figure out cutter compensation before charging people for something that should already be included.
Your product can’t even do a fundamental, basic function of CNC machining. It’s laughable.

With few exceptions, I don’t believe in coincidences. This move by Masso came less than two days after the new Trump tariffs were announced.
Does anyone know if software maintenance contracts are subject to tariffs? If not, this might be a strategy for Masso to reduce the tariff hit on their customers. Of course, that logic would be valid only for NEW customers, and only if Masso reduces the price of new controllers commensurately.
I doubt that any company would move that fast 2 days? they had to have been planning this for quite a while. by the way Onefinity responded to my email this morning within an hour . saying they were caught off-guard as well. I didn’t think onefinity would do some bs like this and they didn’t. Again, I am either looking for a new controller or changing my order to go back to the buildbotics, I don’t want to, but I am surely not paying the Australians (or anyone else) every month for the next forever.

I just emailed onfinity about how to change my order without losing my place back to BB if this BS by Masso is really going to happen. 228 dollars a year for maybe once a year updates and a not fully functional controller. IE. no runtime estimates no ridged tapping function and paying for bug fixes? no sir not this boy.
