Problems with out of sync Y rails

Ok so I have had my x50 journeyman set up for almost 2 weeks now.

When I first set it up I had the problem of them being out of sync. Followed some Facebook advice and it has been working flawlessly. Until yesterday.
You can see the results mid carve. Left and right rails trying to go opposite directions.

I have gone through the videos and am now at this point. Wires out, motors out and controller on the bench. But the directions are confusing and miss leading. How is anything going to happen without it plugged in? I read specifically if you plug or unplug the motors while the controller was on will void the warranty. Also how could you control anything without the screen plugged in?

What do I do now?

Further more my controller doesn’t seem to shut down properly. I watched a video and mine should completely turn off after shutting down. Mine never does. The fan and green light never stop.

Anyone have any insight?

Hey Mark,

did you already do this what I suggested in the other thread:

Did you already do this?

Also you should be aware of the possibility that a faulty connection on a connector may not be present all the time, but appear only sometimes.

Hey Mark,

and did you already follow this advice of mine?

I am just going to be getting back to this this morning in the next hour or so. I am still at the point in the photo. I will try the ohms testing next.

So based on Onefinitys photo above how are you supposed to get the motors to spin like in the photo?

From my limited electronics knowledge nothing seems amiss with the ohms meter.

Hey Mark,

if you refer to Support: How to determine if a wire or motor is damaged, as quoted here:

…then in general when you have set the machine to imperial units, you can get motor 0 to run by entering e.g. “G0 X16”, the motors 1 and 2 by entering e.g. “G0 Y16” and the motor 3 by entering e.g. “G0 Z-5” into the command entry field of the MDI Tab (in the Tabbed Section).

…and in general when you have set the machine to metric units, you can get motor 0 to run by entering e.g. “G0 X400”, the motors 1 and 2 by entering e.g. “G0 Y400” and the motor 3 by entering e.g. “G0 Z-130” into the command entry field of the MDI Tab (in the Tabbed Section).

Or you can simply press the “home” button on any of the axes on the CONTROL page.

And before doing this test don’t forget to make sure:
