Having an issue when I home my X50. The Z and Y axis will zero properly but the x-axis stops about 4" short of where it should zero. I can’t manually move the a-axis all the way to the front. This was working and now it doesn’t
Hey Regent,
Welcome to the forum!
Hi Regent,
This is somewhat contradictory. I get that the X axis doesn’t home, but that has a side-to-side movement. Then you mention the ‘A’ axis that won’t move all the way to the front. The Y axis is the one that would move to the front of the machine.
But that said, the X axis stops short. If you kill the motor power, can you manually turn the ball screw in either direction? Does the screw feel more restrictive as you rotate it to move the axis closer to home position? The first thing is to determine if the issue is a mechanical one. Then to identify what is causing the mechanical restriction. Rotating the ball screw will give you a better feel of mechanical issues rather than pulling or pushing the X axis where you are back-driving the screw.
