Just got shipping notice! :) (4th Axis Revolution)

Finally!

Now I wonder where I can get thick rounded wood for this.

rounded wood? you mean for the revolution? If so large dowels would be an expensive but handy starting point.

Just curious as to what your order number was…

I got my shipping notice in the mail today as well. Order #51805.

Thanks for that. Looks like I might be in the next batch or so :crossed_fingers:

We are just packing up the first rotary units now. They will all be Elite Series in this first batch.

Elite versions:
If you have a machine from before 12/5/24, you’ll want to update to our latest configuration and masso firmware 5.07 (we do not recommend 5.09 at this time due to bugs). This latest configuration has the rotary axis preconfigured:

Buildbotics versions:
We are still finalizing the housing for the board that splits the BB controller, so BB controller rotaries will be a bit behind. If you ordered a BB rotary, go ahead and update to firmware 1.6.2 to prepare in the mean time!

you don’t, you use regular boring old square wood and MAKE it round

congratulations!

Rotary received and installed! Everything seems to be working. Now need to try doing my 1st rounded carved. Only issue here is that banana plug for probing was very stuck hard. Even with pliers I had a hard time removing it. Now it’s damaged.

As far as I know the order numbers aren’t specific to what you ordered. So you could be 5000 higher yet most in between the order numbers are something completely different so they may have already shipped or may not ship until after what you ordered has shipped. All you can hope for is to hear the news they are now shipping. In the case of the BB version that 1f has all the parts needed and will start shipping any day. Does t suck, sure. Who doesn’t want what they paid for getting delivered the next day. Why do you think Amazon became so big? But it is what it is and IMO 1F is trying to do everything they can to fill orders as quickly as possible. So I’ll wait.

My rotary was delivered on Monday…Yay. I never got any heads up from Onefinity. But it is here.

Has anyone else with a Woodworker or Journeyman received their Rotary units already? If yes, did it have the X-axis riser blocks mentioned in the instructions?

My rotary arrived on the weekend but seems to be missing these 1/2” risers blocks. I have already contacted Onefinity and they are working to sort out the missing pieces. I believe these risers are required or at least recommended in order to provide sufficient clearance for the gantry to clear over the rotary.
Thanks.

I had woodworker and mine was missing. Just received them today !

Another item to note, QWC brackets for Woodworker was wrong, not sure what is wrong but does not align!!! Also got replacement for those today, they are 3D printed. Wrong ones are Aluminum solid blocks. This is not acceptable to me, hoping it’s a temporary solution. I will be emailing support and request aluminum replacement, there is too much play for my taste.
If you wondering, support made no explanation, not even ‘sorry, we screwed up’, we don’t understand quality control’. Dunno what to say, disappointing on a product paid in Nov, and all these noise.

Let’s see how the install will go tomorrow, I assume install instructions is the video on you tube, there was no email, no pdf, no information. Just a box, packed really well.

It is a temporary solution as we are waiting for the metal we ones to arrive. We’ll send out the metal ones when they come in! We thought you’d rather have the rotary with 3d printed qcw blocks now rather than wait for everything until the metal ones come in!

Like all our instructions, the manuals are on our website!

did you have difficulty installing the molex connector to snap into place?

Just received my rotary yesterday, earlier than I anticipated, and just in time to be scheduled to be away from the machine for the next 7 days, starting today, traveling over the Easter holidays.

Are you referring to the molex connector on the wiring harness snapping securely into place on rear of Masso? I have had some issue with this connector staying in place when I plug the rotary connector into it. It seems like the connector wants to slip back into the Masso.

I have this issue. It does not seat well. When I unplug it and try to plug it back in, I need to use some pliers to hold it while I reconnect.
